Three New Projects: Sustainability Meets Hustle

Adding three new projects to the portfolio: a low-price service, a high-price consulting offer, and a focused SaaS—all built on domain names I've owned for years.

Since the last Build Log, I’ve added three new projects to the site. As I mentioned in the last build log, I’ve been thinking about sustainability while I build out a couple of SaaS projects, so I’ve built a low-price/easy-fulfill business and a high-price/hard-fulfill business.

The Service Businesses

Boffo Marketing

Boffo Marketing is the small town website refresh service. Low price, easy to fulfill. The target market is clear: small businesses in small towns that need a modern web presence but don’t have enterprise budgets.

Free GPT Inside

Free GPT Inside is the service that enables me to “dumpster dive” into businesses and find money that they are not collecting or money that they are wasting. Having worked at a couple of SaaS companies, I can tell you that they are wasteful, but won’t use their own people to find and clear out the waste.

We’ll see how either of them goes. I will be hustling them pretty soon.

The SaaS: Rentizens

The SaaS project I’ve added to the board is called Rentizens. This is a small little SaaS which helps renters in competitive markets build a renter’s resume with some authority. The idea is for them to build a resume once and be able to move quickly to compete with fast-moving properties.

I have set myself up to be able to concierge the first few folks so that I can learn what I need to learn about the problem I’m solving.

Domain Names Finally Finding Their Purpose

One interesting thing about these projects is that they are all domain names that I have owned for a while. I had dabbled a little bit with the marketing site a few years ago, but somehow found the perfect use for it. At least I think I have—we’ll see if there is a market for what I’m offering.

Channeling My Inner Consultant

For Free GPT Inside, I’m recalling those days so long ago where I worked for Ernst & Young as a management consultant. More or less, the same skills are required: sell, manage and fulfill on engagements. In each case for these services, I’m discounting my early work in order to get the learnings that I need and to understand pricing and execution logistics.

Building the Growth Audit Framework

For Free GPT Inside, I’m building a Growth Audit Framework with some help from AI. I feed it information, it saves it off as “raw ore” and then it mines and helps me extract key concepts, logic, assets, modules, and so forth. Eventually I aggregate all that’s been ingested to come up with audit techniques, tools, and my offer.

It’s pretty intense, but probably way ahead of your average agency from a theoretical perspective, but the proof will be in the practical application. We’ll see.
